The General Manager of North America is a key member of the Global Commercial Leadership Team reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. This individual will play a pivotal role in the North America business by directly leading the customer facing field and home office teams to accelerate the commercial adoption of Tumor Treating Fields across existing and new indications. This individual must be a thought leader, build cohesion and drive change as necessary across the organization. This is a highly visible role that will closely partner with all functions and colleagues across the enterprise.


The successful candidate is a visionary leader who can toggle between short and long term strategy planning and flawless execution. This highly-driven individual will have strong scientific knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the commercialization landscape for cancer therapeutics. The ideal candidate will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation capabilities as well as the ability to collaborate with key internal and external drivers and decision makers. The following functions/teams report to this position: Sales, Learning and Development, Device Support Specialists (field based patient support) and the Care Center (office based patient support).This role is based in New York City at our Global Commercial Headquarters.


Essential Responsibilities:
Proactively drive North America business and customer strategies, plan, and execute key components such as coverage model, compensation strategy and go-to-market framework, through various short and long-range planning
Continuously  optimize go to market strategy by partnering with key stakeholders and designing plan adjustments
Lead efforts in building and strengthening leadership capabilities and structure for field based personnel 
Build, develop and manage customer-facing team capable of carrying out critical sales initiatives, direct implementation and execution of sales policies and practices and patient support initiatives
Work with key team members to design customer metrics, KPIs, analytics, and dashboards to support performance assessment and provide business insights
Ensure communications are coordinated, support key customer engagement objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with the overall business 
Develop and oversee execution of development programs for the franchise
Provide input into the development of mid and long range commercial forecasts in collaboration with the finance team

BA or BS required, MBA or advanced scientific degree preferred
A seasoned and well-rounded leader with >15 years of industry experience, ideally 2 of which should be in Oncology or a specialty therapeutic; minimum of 5 years management of multi-functional commercial organization, sales management and/or field based management roles
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups and lead field based teams
Inline commercialization and brand management experience is highly desired
Successful management experience with direct responsibility for a senior management team, and minimum of 5 years management of multi-functional commercial organization
Demonstrated track record of exceeding objectives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional listening skills, good influencing and negotiation skills
Wiliness to travel 40-50% of the time (primarily domestic and occasional weekend travel)
