The Publications Director (Oncology), Global Medical Affairs reports directly to the Senior Director, Publications, Global Medical Affairs, and will work closely with various members of the organization (Clinical, Preclinical, Physics teams, and representatives in the field).

The position will be responsible for the planning and execution of medical publications with a major focus on scientific statement development, publication planning, and scientific congress planning. This position is exempt and will be located in the New York City office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Publication Lead responsible for coordinating strategy, planning and execution of global publications

Support development and medical writing of publications with internal and external authors

Co-ordinate internal review of publications

Oversight of repository of publication resources

Ensures and promotes compliance with internal and external standards of good publication practice

Developing/Implementing/Monitoring Medical/Scientific Messages

Developing content and track medical congresses (Global, International, National, Regional)

Participate in scientific meetings and congresses

Build external author advocacy

Build relations with congresses and journals

Coordinate efforts with the field liaisons and business partners

Manage publication shared drive database of TTFields congress presentations and publications

Manage publication vendors


A clinical/scientific background with degrees (MD, PhD, Masters) in related science fields

Bench/preclinical work or other relevant experience preferred

3-5 years of publications experience in pharmaceutical or device industry (preferred)

3-5 years of oncology experience (preferred)

Working knowledge of legal and regulatory environment, with corresponding Guidelines (OIG, ICMJE, ACCME, AdVaMED, etc.)

Must have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to give formal presentations, being able to prepare materials for a wide variety of audiences from professional to patient



Participates in internal meetings, prepares reports and presentations, administrative duties

Literature searches

Supports department needs

Able to travel to meetings and seminars as needed

Must have the ability to adapt and change in a shifting environment

Able to meet deadlines

A strategic, passionate, self-starter who works well in large and small teams, ability to work remotely

Ability to travel ~ 10% of time
